Sheriff Graziano has successfully re-imagined the Detention Centers to focus on mental health and resources for the individual. Services for mental health counseling, in addition to creating an education system within the center, has garnered national attention, won awards and directly lowered recidivism rate in Charleston County.

Sheriff Graziano has long served our Veterans. Sheriff Graziano won the Freedom Award for Charleston County Sheriff's Office through her leadership, service and dedication to our Veterans.

Plant A Seed Initiative
Plant a seed initiative focuses on filling in gaps within the community. The directive centers on mental health incarceration, growing sustainable gardens in communities, championing youth centers in neighborhoods, and even housing for persons re-entering society, we plant the seed to help individuals and families succeed and grow.
Literacy in Our System
Sheriff Graziano built an educational ecosystem in the Juvenile Detention Center. That system is now being replicated throughout the nation due to the extreme success of her vision. Graziano accepted an award in 2023 from the Barbara Bush Foundation for Literacy based on the work done in the detention centers.

Whether it's a food drive, polar plunge, cleanup, or neighborhood meetings; Sheriff Graziano shows up in our community volunteering and providing resources.
